Kuuko is an app for iPhone and Mac by SF4L S.R.L. (Bucharest, Romania). Kuuko 1.0 is coming soon to the App Store.

## One app, three tools

- **Blocking: trackers, ads and scams.** Across your apps and browsers. Plain switches for Meta, device makers, fake shops, pop-up ads, social networks, gambling and more.
- **VPN: your VPN, blocking inside.** Add your provider's WireGuard config, for example from Proton VPN. Kuuko runs no VPN servers. [Which VPNs work](https://kuuko.app/vpn/)
- **Aliases: one address per shop.** @kuuko.me aliases, forwarded to your inbox. They live in your vault: no name, no password, no email address to sign in. Your passkey or your 12 words open it.

## What our servers keep about you

No log of your lookups. No access logs.

Your IP address is held in memory only, never written to disk: Kuuko DNS forgets it within about 6 minutes of your last lookup, the app server within an hour. This website counts visits without it. With a vault, we keep only what the features you use need. Details: [privacy notice](https://kuuko.app/privacy/).

## What Kuuko is not

- **Not a VPN company.** Kuuko runs no VPN servers. Bring a provider you trust that offers WireGuard configs, for example Proton VPN. Kuuko keeps blocking inside the tunnel.
- **Not a data company.** Blocking and the VPN need no vault at all. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. We never sell your data, and keep only what the features you use need.
- **Not a black box.** Three independent tests, run by others, show what reaches your browser. Every article in the app and in [Learn](https://kuuko.app/learn/) names its sources. Our goal: anyone could build Kuuko themselves. [We'll publish the how-to here](https://kuuko.app/build/).

## Same phone, different answers

| Without Kuuko | With Kuuko |
| --- | --- |
| The names you look up usually go to your internet provider | Encrypted to Kuuko; no record of who asked for what |
| Trackers load in your apps | Trackers on your block lists get "doesn't exist" |
| One email address, everywhere | One address per shop, leak warnings if you switch them on |
| You take the app's word for it | You test the blocking yourself, in the app and in your browser |

The protection test in the app asks Kuuko DNS about 13 known trackers: with the recommended lists, 12 are blocked; the 13th, Google Tag Manager, is blocked only with Google extras or Stricter protection switched on, because some websites break without it.
