# Google

Google Analytics is the most used tool of its kind: it is on 46.8% of all websites (W3Techs, 28 October 2026). Inside apps, Google’s Firebase does the same job.

## Always blocked

- Google Analytics on websites.
- Firebase analytics and crash reports inside apps.
- AdSense ads on websites.

## What Google extras adds

- Google Tag Manager, which websites use to load other tracking code.
- Google’s ad-click tracking.

## What may break with extras on

- Some websites that wait for Tag Manager.
- Clicking on Google ads, including shopping ads.

## What no blocker can stop

- What you do while logged in to Google: Search, YouTube, Maps, Gmail.
- What Google’s own apps on your device send to Google.

## Google’s own settings

- **Personalised ads:** in My Ad Center (myadcenter.google.com), set Personalized ads to Off. Google says personalised ads on its partners’ sites and apps are then turned off too. You still see ads, based on things like the page’s topic, the time of day or where you are.
- **Web & App Activity:** on the Activity controls page (myaccount.google.com/activitycontrols), turn Web & App Activity off. You can choose Turn off and delete activity.

> **Why is this off by default?** Kuuko already blocks Google’s analytics and ad servers across your apps. The extras catch more, but they can break websites, so you decide. Stricter protection also blocks Google Tag Manager.
